Matthew Curtain is returning to his sporting roots to take over the leadership of British Weight Lifting (BWL).

In this edition of Island Notes, we feature the Trinidad and Tobago weightlifter Lennox Kilgour, the second athlete from the country to win an Olympic medal.

This country’s first two Olympic Medallists, weight lifters Rodney Wilkes and Lennox Kilgour, were inducted into the Pan American Weightlifting Hall of Fame.

NATIONAL WELTERWEIGHT boxer Aaron Prince is beaming with confidence heading into the final 2016 Rio Olympic boxing qualifier in Azerbaijan next week, stating that super heavyweight Nigel Paul will not be Trinidad and Tobago’s only representative at the Olympics.

Trinidad and Tobago’s first two Olympic medallists, the late Rodney Wilkes and Lennox Kilgour, will be inducted into the Pan American Weightlifting Hall of Fame on November 14.

Before T&T’s first Olympic medalist Rodney Wilkes died, he wanted his medals to be displayed at San Fernando’s City Hall so that future generations could learn of his feats.
